West Coast USA Tour

I love the idea that film can bring a community together and I was always inspired by the old surf films like Morning of the Earth and films by Bob Evans, Jack McCoy and Dick Hoole etc.

The cinema wasn’t the right place for MP’s story. I wanted to take the film right down to the beach and headlands where I’d first heard about MP. To watch it with the people who had told his story - legend to grommet -over generations.

My oldest mate Rick and myself screened the film up and down the coast of New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria and then we got bold and the West and East coasts of the USA and we even screened in London, the coast of the England and Wales!

It was epic, everyone came out to see the film and I loved every minute.
